INCOMPAS Congratulates FCC Commissioners Brendan Carr and Geoffrey Starks

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 3, 2019) – The United States Senate confirmed two new members of the Federal Communications Commission today – Brendan Carr and Geoffrey Starks.

In response, Chip Pickering, CEO of INCOMPAS released the following statement:

“The future of broadband is brighter with the return of Brendan Carr to the FCC, and the addition of Geoffrey Starks to the Commission. 

“In his brief time on the Commission, Mr. Carr has proven himself to be a visionary broadband leader, advocating for solutions that will pave the way to faster speeds and more competition in next generation network services. Mr. Carr has endeared himself to rural consumers, and broadband builders in America’s heartland with his hands-on knowledge and willingness to roll up his sleeves and get to work building the future. 

“Mr. Starks’ distinguished career brings a wealth of knowledge and ability to the Commission. We look forward to hearing his priorities, and working with him to bring more competition and innovation to consumers and businesses across the nation.
